Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for CAD/CAE Software

Coventor, Inc. (www.coventor.com) has two sophisticated software product lines that are targeted at engineers in the semiconductor industry: CoventorWare™ and SEMulator3D™.  CoventorWare is an industry-leading suite of software tools for designing and analyzing micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS).  SEMulator3D is a voxel-based 3-D geometry modeler that is used to model semiconductor fabrication processes.  The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will be involved in testing both products, and must draw on a strong background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics to create and execute real-world test cases.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the uses and functionality of Coventor's products
• Develop test cases
• Execute test cases
• Submit defect reports
• Work closely with software developers to isolate defects
• Maintain test descriptions and track status in a test case management system

Must-Have Qualifications:

• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools involving finite element analysis (FEA), such as Ansys, Abaqus or Fluent
• Good English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with the Windows and/or Linux operating systems

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience in MEMS design and analysis and/or semiconductor process engineering
• Experience with 3-D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Pro-E or Unigraphics
• Work experience in design engineering or software QA
• Experience with typical QA tools for automated testing, defect tracking, and test case management
