Run the lmstat command to ensure that the license server is running. Go to Start->Run , type in cmd and hit Enter to open a command prompt. Use the cd command to navigate to \Coventor\CoventorWare2008\licensing\NT40 directory. Type:

lmstat -a -c port@host -i

and press Enter. For example, if the license is installed on a computer named blue and the Port Number is 54009, then the lmstat command will be as shown in the figure below:   

If you get an error message, it means the license server is down and must be started.
