Integrating DSPs into the MEMS ecosystem

Electronic Product News

MEMS, or microelectromechanical systems, helps us to both sense the world around us and to actuate movement based on the information we gather. Motion control in applications such as the Nintendo Wii remote, the Apple iPhone, automotive airbags and electronic stability control systems are just a few examples of MEMS in real-world applications. Representing a total available market which iSuppli predicts could reach between US9.8B by 2014 and Yole Développement estimates will be US$16.4B by 2015, MEMS has far-reaching uses in mobile and wireless, automotive, biomedical, industrial and energy applications.
