- Any Intel Pentium 4 class or newer or AMD X86-compatible CPU
SEMulator3D and SEMulator3D Reader System Requirements
Note: You must use Coventor Licensing 1.005 to install the license for SEMulator3D 7.x or greater.

- minimum 2 GHz, faster is recommended
- minimum 6 MB Smart Cache, or AMD equivalent (more is recommended)
- Multi-core processors are recommended because the modeling engine will build 3D models faster
- 8 GB RAM (more is recommended)
- A minimum of 5 GB disk drive available needed to complete the installation
- 100 GB is recommended for saving model data
- Graphics support for OpenGL version 2.0 or higher
- Display set to 1024 x 768 minimum resolution, 32-bit color (the 3D Viewer will not work if the display is set to 16-bit)

Cadence required modules and compatibility on RHEL 6 and 7:
- Virtuoso Schematic Editor and Analog Design Environment (ADE) 6.1.8, 64-bit only
- Spectre or SpectreRF version 19.1, 64-bit
- APS version 19.1, 64-bit
- Virtuoso Layout Suite 6.1.x (optional, only required for exporting MEMS+ Pcells), 64-bit
Hardware
- Intel Core or Xeon family CPU, or comparable AMD CPU
- minimum 2 GHz, faster is recommended
- minimum 2 MB L2 cache, more is recommended
- multi-core processors are recommended because they allow use of the system for other tasks while simulations are running and simulations will run faster
- 8 GB RAM (more is desirable)
- Page file size should be set to twice the RAM size
- 3.5 GB of disk space for installation
- Minimum 5 GB free disk space for operation, more is recommended
- Graphics card or sub-system
- Support for OpenGL Version 1.4 or higher
- Support for DirectX 9
- Discrete (as opposed to integrated) graphics with a minimum of 128 MB dedicated memory is recommended.
- NVIDIA chip sets are recommended for Windows and Linux systems. ATI chip sets may be acceptable for Windows systems.
